Spring has Sprung!

Spring has sprung! And aren't we all just a little more cheery for it!? The ground has finally thawed, and the chill is gone from the air. Flowers flower everywhere! <3

Print out this Easter themed colouring sheet, and count them eggs!

Happy St. Patties Day!

Rainbow Shamrock tiger

Face painting and balloon twisting has recommenced at the Kids Market on Granville Island, every day throughout Spring Break. This was a great weekend to kick it off, with shamrocks and rainbows galore.

Face Painting station! And my simple, yet effective, St.Patties attire (please note the shamrock painted on my cheek)

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines!
I must say, I had an absolutely wonderful day filled with LOVE (and chocolate). My day was spent Nannying and painting all the kids faces with hearts and rainbows. We also made Valentines for their parents, and ones for themselves where they wrote the things that they like most about themselves (bike riding, painting, ballet and clicking heels to name a few).
I was then treated to a fantastic dinner at my wonderful friend Allan's house where he made vegan haggis (he is a Scottish vegetarian) braised pear and blue cheese salad, and mashed potatoes. Nom nom nom.
We ended with a goats cheese fondue desert, that made all the fruit we dipped into it taste like cheese cake. It may have been the most delicious thing ever.
I contributed to the evening by using my favorite parlor trick (can you guess?), face painting! It was beloved by all...
Enjoy the photos, and much love to everyone! And remember, love is infinite, and a many splendored thing. <3

I shall officially end this blog with a photo of one of my favorite couples (and two of my best friends) who came over to my house the other day, put on matching blonde wigs, and pretended to be in a Swedish rock band. I would buy their album.

Christmas Time at the Kids Market!

During this lovely winter season I was lucky enough to be invited to sing and entertain the wee ones at the Kids Market on Granville Island for the days that Santa is busy making sure his reindeer are ready for the big date. Here are just a few photos to show how its been going!

Well, it seems as if forever since my last blog. I guess I kinda fell of the blogging train sometime in the summer but now it's time to get back on board! Choochoo!
So much has happened in the past few months including my big trip out east to Quebec and New York:
Apparently this is my statue of liberty face...

Over looking Montreal...

I've also been painting and balloon twisting all over the city. Kaboodles had their 1st  birthday at their location on Cambie and 10th where I got to use my awesome neon paints on the staff. I was invited to paint once again this year at the Kids Market on Granville Island's birthday celebration in November, yay Kids Market.
Birthday parties rule!

October came and went with costumes galore. I helped make the costumes for Hugo and Claire (the kids that I nanny for) and once again did a few shifts at Just Imagine...Fun Clothing where I spent the hours helping people find their perfect Halloween attire, all the while keeping my eyes peeled for new things to add to my costume trunk.
My most recent exploit?
I got to meet the History Hunters when I did balloon at an event during Christmas on the drive. The History Hunters are a fantastic troupe of talented singers and musicians whose history themed songs had me laughing, clapping, and grooving along. They write great kids music, that can be enjoyed by all (now if I could only find a way to make it down to Denver to see their off Broadway show...).
Here are some photos from the event- and thanks to Mama Llama for letting me be a part of it!

Cheerio for now-until next time,
Stay tuned for news on my Christmas debut at the Kids Market!
